I incorporated textures that loudly say “quality professional” and softly evoke “experience with cycling” as well. The carbon fiber texture in the header & footer is instantly recognizable to cyclists as a high-quality material for bicycles. Non-cyclists will see a sophisticated, tweed-like weave in it. The rich brown leather suggests quality bicycle saddles, and adds a refined yet bold character. The yellow gold used for headlines and other graphics is the exact hue of the Tour de France’s winning Yellow Jersey, and it’s a strong accent color within this rich color-scheme.
The font, Alegreya, is a contemporary interpretation of the traditional literary fonts used by most law firms. Yet this font also packs a punch with its beefy serifs and strong personality. The font’s young Argentinian designer (Juan Pablo del Peral) infused it with a macho yet modern style, which is perfect for this particular law practice.
